Created and updated sites using a variety of CMS platforms, such as Modx, Drupal, Wordpress, Magento, and Joomla. Worked with backend languages including Elixir/Phoenix, LiveView Native, and PHP.
Continuous Learning
Attended web developer conferences outside work. Kept up with new HTML and CSS standards. Continued to take online courses on front-end development, accesibility, JavaScript, and React. Learned site speed strategies. Read books on management and leadership. Blogged about new dev features on dev.to.

Became a subject matter expert on Tailwind CSS while working on internal R&D content management systems and component libraries. Who I Am
Front-end engineer in Houston, TX
I'm a front-end web developer who creates responsive, semantic, accessible, and browser-friendly web sites and applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I collaborate with designers, engineers, marketing, and product owners. I'm a huge advocate of documentation and standardization for team efficiency and for better code practices. I care about team morale and keeping teammates motivated and learning.
I started out my career creating databases and user interfaces for supply chain management, then went into software consulting for oil and gas where I managed the entire process of requirements gathering, software deployment, and issue resolution for large clients. Then I finally decided to pursue my creative desires professionally and switched to web development.
I graduated The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's of Business Administration (BBA), double majoring in Business Honors Program & Management Information Systems, and I continue to learn web development in my spare time. You will find me as a fellow attendee at conferences such as Frontend Masters and Smashing Conf. In my free time I enjoy playing video games, traveling, and photography.
