I build web sites
Utilized HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build fully responsive sites from Figma mockups created by designers. Created new sites using a variety of backend languages including Elixir/Phoenix, LiveView Native, and PHP. Used problem-solving skills to troubleshoot existing sites built on a variety of content management systems.
Attended web developer conferences outside work. Kept up with new HTML and CSS standards. Continued to take online courses on front-end development, JavaScript and React. Learned site speed strategies. Read books on management and leadership.
Created training presentations on new CSS standards for developers. Conducted one-on-ones with developers to discuss career growth. Created documentation process to ensure all developers are working from the same standards. Managed team of developers and timelines for site enhancements.
Where I've Been
Collaborated between designers and engineers to implement Figma designs into production web pages and applications, striving to achieve semantic, browser-compatible, accessible, and future-proof markup. Became a subject matter expert on Tailwind CSS while working on internal R&D content management systems and component libraries. Facilitated the CSS overhaul for a design system implementation on a client project where I was the lead front-end developer. Regularly updated Github internal product documentation and user guides.
Built new custom sites using HTML, CSS and jQuery in Modx based on Figma designs. Added enchancements to existing sites built on different platfrms. Spearheaded documentation initiative for developer team to improve process and coding standardization. Created training presentations on new CSS standards and Google Core Vitals. Managed team of developers and conducted performance reviews.
Managed entire software support process flow, which included: client issue creation, internal resolution with a team of developers, quality assurance and efficient timing of software build deployments for clients in the natural gas industry

What I've Built
Front-end developer in Houston, TX
I'm a front-end web developer who creates responsive websites using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript from design mock-ups. I'm a huge advocate of documentation and standardization for team efficiency and for better code practices. I care about team morale and keeping teammates motivated and learning.
I started out my career creating databases and user interfaces for supply chain management, then went into software consulting for oil and gas where I managed the entire process of requirements gathering, software deployment, and issue resolution for large clients. Then I finally decided to pursue my creative desires professionally and switched to web development.
I graduated The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's Degree with double-major in Business Honors Program & Management Information Systems, and I continue to learn web development in my spare time. You will find me as a fellow attendee at conferences such as Frontend Masters and Smashing Conf. In my free time I enjoy playing video games, traveling and photography.
